Are you looking for something fun to do... do you like to drive... do you want to make a difference? To be a volunteer driver with Sound Generations is to positively impact the life of a senior in your community.

Using your own vehicle (mileage reimbursement is an option), volunteer drivers help older adults maintain their independence by taking them to much needed medical appointments. Clients are enormously grateful for their improved access to medical care, meaningful interactions with caring volunteers, and increased peace of mind.

The role of volunteer driver is very flexible: you choose the number of rides you want to give, what day and time and in what area. Most volunteers drive once a week, some do more and some less.

Honestly, our volunteer drivers do a lot more than drive: Drivers provide a sense of independence as well as human connection and companionship. To pursue volunteer driving with Sound Generations and/or get more information, contact Dana at 206-605-3726 or danap@soundgenerations.org or visit our website at https://soundgenerations.org/our-programs/transportation/volunteer/
