During these uncertain times, how can we help?

Tempe Community Action Agency (TCAA)
Nutritious meals are prepared to be delivered as assistance for homebound individuals, whether elderly or disabled. The program allows participants to stretch their fixed income and live independently for as long as possible. Volunteers have the opportunity to directly nourish both body and spirit by providing food and brief company to homebound individuals.
Volunteers assist in packaging meals for delivery, delivering hot meals to preassigned seniors along designated routes, and conducting a brief wellness check with program participants.
Volunteers are asked to commit to one day every week, but are reimbursed for mileage. Volunteers are also required to hold a current Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance and assistance is available for fees and paperwork.

TCAA provides education, stability, and advocacy to working poor families, children, seniors, and the homeless.
TCAA is Tempe's primary "safety net", providing basic needs and emergency assistance for low income and elderly community members, while encouraging self-reliance. The Community Action Program provides rent / utility assistance, food boxes, career services, cooking on a budget, community garden, homeless prevention, and pre-natal services. The Senior Action Program provides social activities, congregate meals, and home delivered meals.
We'll work with your schedule.
