TCAA provides education, stability, and advocacy to working poor families, children, seniors, and the homeless.
Description
TCAA is Tempe's primary "safety net", providing basic needs and emergency assistance for low income and elderly community members, while encouraging self-reliance. The Community Action Program provides rent / utility assistance, food boxes, career services, cooking on a budget, community garden, homeless prevention, and pre-natal services. The Senior Action Program provides social activities, congregate meals, and home delivered meals.

I was not working and had nothing , this organization's helped me. They also did not make me feel like a second class citizen.
I was in tears when I came and asked for food , the ladies working the food distribution desk are so nice and polite.
they tried to find me food that I could eat, because I have HBP. When I got home I was so glad that I could eat for another month. I am a senior , work is hard to find. I am going to volunteer to work there and help out. I want to give back because I know they will be a blessing to me until I am able to retire/ or get a job what ever comes first.
