A JRC Adult Day Center Crafting Assistant is needed daily - set your schedule to work with crafting or introducing new crafting ideas - Monday thru Friday.
A Creative and Crafty volunteer assistant helps think of inexpensive and fun crafts within the capability of the senior members of JRC Adult Day Center. The Crafting Assistant will also help determine supplies needed, prep for the activities and may assist members in putting the crafts together. Other light duties may be assigned.

Description

JRC is comprised of two 501(c)(3) private non profit organizations located in Canton, Ohio one for preschool children and one for adult/seniors:
* Two JRC Learning Centers for children - one at 2213 14th St. NE, Canton 44705 and one at 3300 Parkway St. NW, Canton 44708.
* A JRC Adult Day Center for adult/seniors at 3300 Parkway St. NW, Canton 44708.

JRC also offers an Intergenerational Connections Program bringing both the children and seniors together for programming weekly through planned activities that build mutual understanding and meaningful relationships, enriching both generations.

JRC has earned a Step Up To Quality Gold rating for both preschools, meaning the children are enrolled in a top-tier program that exceeds Ohio’s childcare standards.

JRC was founded in 1974 as an outreach ministry of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Canton, Ohio. Father John Robert Coleman brought services to the people of the northeast Canton community through his daily example and vision. Although JRC is not a faith-based organization, we still honor Father Coleman's vision to educated children, engage seniors and strengthen community.
