Looking for High School or College Students to Tutor Teens at the Library

The Milwaukee Public Library - Capitol Branch (3969 N. 74th Street) is thrilled to be launching a new monthly tutoring program for local teenagers! Aimed at helping youth with homework assignments and study skills during after school hours, we're looking for peer or near-peer students interested in donating their time as volunteers!
A perfect opportunity for older high school or college students looking to give back, volunteers will work with fellow teens in a one-on-one or small group settings helping them finish their school assignments and providing in depth help with studying for middle school up through high school topics.
HOW TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER:
If you are 18 or older, please fill out an Online Volunteer Application. If you are 17 years old, please complete and return a Paper Volunteer Application with the signature of a parent or guardian. **Applications can be found at MPL.ORG/VOLUNTEER**

Friday, October 18 from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m.
Friday, November 15 from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m.
Friday, December 20 from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 17 years of age or older
- Ability to make most monthly tutoring sessions listed above
- Interest in teaching and helping others
- Respectful of individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and abilities
- 3.0 GPA and proficient in common middle school and high school subjects
- Personable and well-organized
