Your presence here makes it possible for families to receive vital information for the growth and development of their children. Our volunteers are one of the keys to our success. We value volunteers that understand and embrace our community.The San Gabriel/Pomona Parents' Place Family Resource & Empowerment Center serves families of children with special needs, 0-22 years of age, in the San Gabriel and Pomona Valleys. Our mission is to provide hope and support for families with children with special needs through education and community resources.

We are committed to supporting, promoting and enhancing, family-focused services in a parent driven atmosphere for families who have children with special needs, 0-22 years of age. Our 30th Annual Birth to Five Seminar focuses on the social and emotional development of young children and allows families and professionals the opportunity to receive up to date information, training, and education.

We are seeking volunteers to assist with setup/cleanup, family and vendor registration, the food area, helping with the translation equipment, and other tasks as needed. Our families speak English, Spanish, Mandarin/Cantonese, and Vietnamese. We are also looking for volunteers who can assist with verbal translation and greeting of families in other languages.

The times slots available for volunteers are from 7:00 am to 11:00 am, and from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm.
