New Leaf Kitchen is a non-profit organization on a mission to nourish young minds and bodies through cooking and food education for all.
Our classes offer real-life food experiences to help children understand where food comes from, teach them how to prepare it, make healthy eating fun, and encourage food exploration with all 5 senses. Our 'root-up’ approach to food education nurtures all aspects of learning - nourishing both minds and bodies.
New Leaf Kitchen is looking for volunteers to assist our teachers with these cooking and food education classes at numerous locations, primarily schools, in the greater Cincinnati metropolitan area. Help us nourish young minds and bodies from the 'root up'!
---
Right now, we need volunteers to help our teachers execute our cooking and food education classes on a weekly basis. Our weekly enrichment programs take place between noon and 5pm, with the majority starting at approximately 3pm. We have programs at schools as far north as Liberty Township and as far east as Anderson. Our teachers will bring everything needed to host a class. The volunteers will be responsible for helping set-up the class, passing out ingredients, helping children execute the steps for the recipe (when necessary), and cleaning up afterwards. Volunteers will refer to the teachers for any direction needed while in class.
