Your Forests need YOU:
Become a GKP Steward!
Share your love of natural spaces and your park with the world by becoming a Green Kirkland Steward.
Stewards are dedicated volunteers who share their joy by leading volunteers in restoration projects in their local parks.
If you love plants, people and parks then we'd love to have you join us. Stewards bring a diversity of interests, skill and time to our parks - we encourage all that are interested to attend orientation.
Stewards receive training, resources such as plants and tools, and access to restoration professionals to help you succeed.

Mission Statement
Our Mission is to restore and maintain healthy forested and natural parklands by building a supportive community that works together to protect Kirkland’s valuable natural resources for current and future generations. Achieving this involves training and supporting volunteers in restoration activities.
Description
The Green Kirkland Partnership is an alliance between the City of Kirkland, nonprofit partners, businesses and the community to restore almost 500 acres of natural parkland in the City. The majority of the restoration efforts are accomplished by our dedicated volunteers. These volunteers may join us just one time or volunteer again and again. It takes everyone to restore our natural areas!
