ORGANIZATION: Ohlone Humane Society

Take photos for us at our animal assisted therapy 'Read to a Dog' program and other events. We'd love to be able to share more on social media.
Read to a Dog is held at the Fremont Main Library on the 4th Tuesday of scheduled months.

This popular program provides a supportive environment for children who are shy about reading aloud. Read-to-a-Dog also offers kids (and their parents) a friendly place to be introduced to dogs.

The children read from library books or learn how to interact with our therapy dogs, sometimes by simply petting or talking to them. The dogs offer an audience which listens without criticism, boosting the child’s confidence.
