Board of Directors - Pride St. Charles

Term: 2 year term with voting rights

The treasurer shall be the lead director for oversight of the financial condition and affairs of the corporation. The treasurer shall oversee and keep the board informed of the financial condition of the corporation and of audit or financial review results. In conjunction with other directors or officers, the treasurer shall oversee budget preparation and shall ensure that appropriate financial reports, including an account of major transactions and the financial condition of the corporation, are made available to the board of directors on a timely basis or as may be required by the board of directors. The treasurer shall perform all duties properly required by the board of directors or the board president. The treasurer may appoint, with the approval of the board, a qualified fiscal agent or member of the staff to assist in the performance of all or part of the duties of the treasurer.

The treasurer shall be included on the bank account(s) of Pride St. Charles. They are responsible for making deposits, withdrawals and creating change for Pride St. Charles as needed for events. The treasurer shall file the annual 990 form on behalf of the organization in accordance with the law. This position requires attendance at all board meetings and additional meetings per the Board of Directions.

If required by the Board, the Treasurer shall provide the Corporation a bond, at the Corporation's expense, in a sum and with one or more sureties satisfactory to the Board, for the faithful performance of the duties of his/her office and for the restoration to the Corporation, in the case of his/her/their death, resignation, retirement, or removal from office, of all books, papers, vouchers, money and other property of whatever kind in his/her/their possession or under his/her/their control that belongs to the Corporation.

The treasurer shall sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) for the organization.

Pride St. Charles is an organization which provides resources and fun activities to LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies. Events include Pride Hikes, Espresso Yourself, movie nights and more. We just celebrated our Five year anniversary with our first ever Pride St. Charles Pride parade on 6/15/2019 the morning of our annual Pride festival.

  • Must be at least 25
  • Minimum time commitment for BOD candidates (times are an estimate and may vary greatly throughout the year): 5-10 hours per week in July - October 10+ hours per week November - June Meetings for BOD 4 per year & possible additional meetings
  • Festival planning/ wrap up meetings approximately 6 per year (may be more) with two per month (2-3 hours each). Additional committee meetings as required. Advisory board meetings at least 2 per year. $35 per year financial commitment.
