Music is shown to bring spiritual, physical and emotional comfort to persons on their end of life journey, so Homeland Hospice plans to bring individualized music opportunities to our patients! Volunteers are needed to "interview" patients and/or their family members to determine music interests. Using this information, the volunteer then develops playlists with patient specific song selections (IE: old-time Christian hymns, music from the 1940's and 1950's, jazz, and etc) from Spotify. Playlists will be given to the patient and/or used during patient visits by nurses, aides, and social workers.
Volunteers are required to complete the self-study orientation program, complete a background check, and share two references.
