As a volunteer Chef we have various days and times available for this opportunity. Last minute food events are also a possibility. Servings can be for several people or several hundred people.

Duties and Responsibilities:

-Share the mission of The Harbor Dish with each new group or individual volunteer or other persons that you may meet.
-Manage Food Service Volunteers, within the kitchen, to achieve the goals of the day; prepping, buffet line set up, cooking, etc.
-Train volunteers on how to serve meals with dignity and to meet our various requirements.
-Ensure safety requirements are followed
-Keep helpers busy with cleaning as you go and clean up

Experience:
-1-2 years in Food Services with Food Safety Certification or we can train you.
-Ability to plan and organize meals with attention to detail.

The Harbor Dish provides an opportunity where people from all parts of our community can "break bread" together. The Harbor Dish provides volunteer opportunities, jobs and training for individuals in our community. This is exemplified by the work we do at risk youth, women, children and the elderly, as well as other non profit organizations.

Description

The Harbor Dish community cafe is a 501(c)3 created in 2013 to serve the Safety Harbor, Florida area. The Harbor Dish creates delicious food where individuals needing a helping hand can dine with dignity. We have established a network of community minded people that have built a caring community that utilizes local farmers, businesses, and volunteers to enrich the lives of our patrons and reduce food waste.
