HARBOR DISH INC
The Volunteer Chef is responsible for general coordination of all food services in the kitchen. You will need to be able to make meals based on the food we have available. You will have volunteer kitchen helpers who will follow your lead on food preparation.
This opportunity is for someone who can be available from 3 pm- 6 pm on varied Tuesdays. Opportunities are also available on other days for catering jobs and sometimes spur of the moment events. New locations and times of cooking are now available. We are cooking much more since Covid-19 and serving more people.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Share the mission of The Harbor Dish with each new group or individual volunteer or other persons that you may meet.
-Manage Food Service Volunteers, within the kitchen, to achieve the goals of the day; prepping, buffet line set up, cooking, etc.
-Train volunteers on how to serve meals with dignity and to meet our various requirements.
_Ensure safety requirements are followed
-1-2 years in Food Services with Serve Safe Certification
-Ability to plan and organize meals with attention to detail

The Harbor Dish community cafe is a 501(c)3 created in 2013 to serve the Safety Harbor, Florida area. The Harbor Dish creates delicious food where individuals needing a helping hand can dine with dignity. We have established a network of community minded people that have built a caring community that utilizes local farmers, businesses, and volunteers to enrich the lives of our patrons and reduce food waste.
