"The volunteer coordinator will stay connected to all of our volunteers and serve as a go-between when working with other groups. This person also has to stay connected to the event organizer throughout the event to let her know how everything is going and what needs we may have that we should be aware of.
The person we are seeking must be energetic, friendly, positive, reliable, and have integrity. He/she must have a professional demeanor, understand how to manage volunteers at events, express love for working with people, and dealing with various constituencies of people with calm and cool. He/she will make sure that all volunteers feel respected, welcomed, and valued, are put to meaningful work, and that there is an easy transition between volunteer shifts. He/she must be sure volunteers get access to food and breaks when needed. He/she must make sure that everything that must happen in relation to our event needs gets done with those available volunteers who come out to serve.
Volunteers will primarily work in the areas of registration, greeting, running errands, setting up/breaking down, replenishing snacks and drinks, and answering questions from students, speakers, advisors, and other event guests.
The person in this role is the go-to, point person that volunteers go to to learn what they should be doing and to sign them in and out. Where ever there is a need or opening, volunteers should be utilized."
We need a well-organized energetic leader to lead/train teams of volunteers for events, in-office, and various virtual assignments.
Perfect for a business professional student or just graduated looking for practical work experience and leadership building skills.
Able to manage CRM (Volunteer Match), make calls, send emails, stay positive, retain volunteers, organize, lead, and train.

Description
Founded in 2010, I Will Survive, Inc. helps with ways to decrease risks for breast cancer by health and wellness. What you eat, how you work out, how you love yourself, limit stress, not smoking, breastfeeding, and even more - all make a difference in your life. We promote fitness on a physical, mental, and spiritual level.
Our events/fundraisers are focused on education and charitable gifts. Knowledge is power. Ethnic women, specifically African Americans are the highest mortality rates from breast cancer and 1 in 8 women will be affected by breast cancer in her lifetime according to CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), 1 in 833 for men. Yes, men get breast cancer too.
