Needing volunteers that are eager to spend time with someone that needs a friend. Our patients are amazing and have so much to share with others. The stories of their lives are fascinating and can make you appreciate the time they still have to share with others.
Some would like to play a game, make a puzzle, go for a walk, eat popcorn and watch a movie, have tea or coffee with someone, there are endless opportunities to be that special person. Holidays are coming and people can be lonely, not everyone has family and friends that come to visit. So, if you feel that you might be that special someone, let me know, I will welcome the opportunity to have you as part of our team.
Application, Orientation, training, PPE kit given and trained on how to use it. We do not require CPR classes to volunteer with Hospice Plus. I will take you to coffee or a soda for an interview and meet you close to your home.

We advocate on behalf of our patients to ensure their comfort and final wishes are being granted. We strive to connect with all of our patients and provide personalized physical, mental and spiritual care.
Description
Providing care and comfort to patients. Opportunities include direct patient visitation and administrative support. We provide feedback to schools for volunteer credit. We provide internships for those in nursing and social work. Travel will be limited, with the exception of internships, which may be only to visit different sites. Our goal is to provide companionship as well as socialization to those who express desire to have a volunteer visit. Our scope of activities may be limitless, we help with light housekeeping, running errands, helping with activities, quiet time to reflect and hear life experiences.

- 4 hours per month, you can work around your schedule. We offer nights and weekends if that fits into your schedule as well.
- TB testing free of charge, background check and drug screening. There is orientation, will need to have proof of insurance and we can keep up with hours for school or work.
