**THIS IS AN ONGOING POSITION, MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR A MINIMUM OF THREE MONTHS OR MORE. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS NOT SUITABLE FOR GROUPS.**

POSITION TITLE: FAMILY SERVICES VOLUNTEER

PURPOSE/GOAL OF POSITION: To support the Escondido Salvation Army Family Services by sorting donations. Volunteer will also be helping to weigh and sort food.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for an active volunteer role. Mus be able to lift and move 30 pound grocery boxes.

5 volunteers needed.

Available Shifts: Must be available to take one shift per week.

Tuesday 9 am to 3pm
Wednesday 10am to 2pm

Qualifications:

  1. Strong attention to detail.
  2. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds of produce.
  3. Ability to be on your feet for the entire shift.
  4. Must be comfortable taking initiative.
  5. Must be available for a minimum of 1 shift per week for 3 to 6 months.
  6. At this time we are not accepting community service volunteers for this position.

Duties:

  1. Move produce boxes to sorting areas.
  2. Weigh and sort food.
  3. Move sorted food to distribution area
  4. Other miscellaneous duties as needed.
