Calling all bookworms, literature lovers, and aspiring novelists!
Turning the Page and Carpe Librum Bookstores will be popping up at University Yard at the George Washington University (2000 H St NW) for a one-day only outdoor book fair in the square on Thursday, November 21st, 2019!
This is a great opportunity to spend a sunny day supporting literacy and education in the DC public school system. We will need volunteers to help us pop-up, check-out and pop-down the tables and book shelves for this extraordinary and energetic fundraising event.
Can you lend a hand?
- The first shift is from 8:00am - 10:00am helping to set up the table and shelves.
- The second shift from 4:00pm - 7:00pm helping to break down the tables and pack up books.
If you have all day, or just a few hours, we would love to have you come help out!
Contact Phebe at pminer@turningthepage.org for more information.
(By the way, we're not just any bookstore: we're a fundraising bookstore! Carpe Librum collects donated books, CDs and DVDs to support the DC nonprofit Turning the Page.), a DC education non-profit. Every sale is an investment in education for DCPS families.
