Mission Statement

Turning the Page is an education nonprofit engaging public school families for student success. We connect parents and other caring family members with teachers, school administrators, and communities to ensure that all students, regardless of income or home neighborhood, are fully supported in their education.

Description

Since 1998 Turning the Page has become a leader in family engagement, providing thousands of families with the supports, skills, and resources they need to best support their children's learning at home and at school, form positive relationships with their children's teachers, and become leaders in their school communities. Turning the Page currently partners with schools in the Ward 8 community of Washington, DC and the North Lawndale community in Chicago.

I recommend this organization because it is very important in life to always lend a hand to those who need it. What I can say to colleagues and friends, what you come together we will give our support to those who need it.

Volunteering with Turning the Page was very easy. Communication was quick and clear, and I was able to gain service hours. I had a very nice experience.
