Northalsted Market Days(r) is the largest street festival in the Midwest and Chicago’s hottest summer celebration, August 12-13, 2023.
The weekend long festival features an all day lineup of live music on 4 stages, 200+ unique vendors, arts, crafts, food and drink, DJ’s and dancing, sponsor booths, and more!

Estimated attendance approaches 200,000 people from near and far, representing all colors of the rainbow!

Founded in 1980, the celebration now spans 1/2 mile of North Halsted in Chicago’s Boystown neighborhood - America’s first recognized gay village - from Addison to Belmont.

Description

Founded in 1988 and celebrating its 35th year in 2023, Chicago Special Events Management (SEM) has grown to become the largest producer of events in the Midwest. These range in size from fundraising runs & walks that draw 500-10,000 participants, to weekend-long art and street festivals that attract between 15,000-150,000 attendees. SEM has a full-time staff of 32 employees and produces 100-plus events of every shape and size each year. All of the events produced by SEM support a non-for-profit beneficiary in the community.
