Description

Founded in 1988 and celebrating its 35th year in 2023, Chicago Special Events Management (SEM) has grown to become the largest producer of events in the Midwest. These range in size from fundraising runs & walks that draw 500-10,000 participants, to weekend-long art and street festivals that attract between 15,000-150,000 attendees. SEM has a full-time staff of 32 employees and produces 100-plus events of every shape and size each year. All of the events produced by SEM support a non-for-profit beneficiary in the community.

The company did everything they could to simplify tasks, such as providing tablet computers for participant check-in. They were also all very friendly and allowed volunteers to work independently. The event was a lot of fun and I will definitely volunteer with them again.
