ORGANIZATION: CIVIC WORKS

Protecting the integrity of our elections and democratic process is quite possibly the most critical task over the next few months.

Local officials have an important role to play, in particular by providing backup paper pollbooks, allowing poll watchers to immediately record local results, and ensuring that election machines do not have modems attached. By asking key security questions to local officials about their plans and efforts, we hope to raise the priority of these key process issues that could be crucial to maintaining the integrity of our electoral process. In particular we are focusing on Wisconsin, Florida, and Michigan.

We are working with recognized expert in election integrity Jennifer Cohn who is providing us with background information and will answer questions as needed, and may work with other experts as well.

Please help us protect the integrity of our next election! This is non-partisan and important work for all of us!

note - Included the COVID checkbox, as obviously the mechanisms of our elections have been impacted by COVID-19.

Mission Statement

We created civ.works as a platform for all of us to work together to overcome the corrupting influence of money in politics. Together we can address bad policy, legislation and to hold all of our elected officials accountable. For democracy to work -our government must represent "We the People". civ.works: Together. We can.

Description

civ.works is a privacy protected social platform built for meaningful civic action.

The concept of civ.works is to finally provide a societal machine to stand up against something created nearly 50 years ago -and begin the process of empowering citizens again. We are building a platform together -against an incredibly mature and well-funded machine. Your volunteer efforts will be helping us collectively build something powerful and important.
