The Volunteer Services Special Projects Team supports the daily work of the hospital staff and our patients and families by completing special projects. Volunteers work together to put together various patient packets, mailings, and a multitude of fun and different projects! This includes baby hats!

Please note, all volunteers must complete a screening process prior to joining the team which includes:

• Placement Interview and Orientation
• Volunteer Handbook Review
• State of Iowa Background check
• National Background check (if applicable)
• Health Screening
  • Covid and Flu Vaccination Required
  • Tuberculosis (TB) Test
• Adults commit to a minimum of 6 months
• Undergrad/Graduate students commit to a minimum of 2 semesters
