Thank you for your interest in volunteering with La Casa Norte's Fresh Market! We are a partnership with Lakeview Pantry located at 3533 W. North Ave, Chicago, IL.
At the Fresh Market, we serve clients in the Humboldt Park community to provide access to a full distribution of groceries and mental health counseling and social services.
Volunteers will have the opportunity to distribute groceries to clients, stock shelves, unload deliveries, glean and sort donations, and greet and receive clients. We're well suited for groups of 4-6 people and can accommodate families with youth at least 13 years or older.
Our Volunteer Opportunities occur:
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 9am - 1pm and 12pm - 3pm
If you speak Spanish and enjoy interacting with people, consider joining us as an intake volunteer!
To get involved, we'd love to have you at an upcoming orientation! Orientations occur Mondays & Wednesdays at 11am at 3533 W. North Ave. Orientation lasts about an hour. Orientations occur by appointment. To schedule an orientation, please email lacasanorte@lakeviewpantry.org
At orientation, you will get registered, learn more about our work with Lakeview Pantry and help you sign up for our upcoming volunteer opportunities.

Mission Statement
Lakeview Pantry strives to eliminate hunger in our community by: Providing food to fill the basic need of hungry people, increasing the independence of our clients through self-help initiatives and other innovative programs, and raising awareness of poverty and its solution.
Description
Since 1970, the Lakeview Pantry has been providing food for our neighbors in need. While our doors are open to all, the vast majority of those we serve within our neighborhood may be disabled, working for minimum wage, recently unemployed, or the elderly. Whatever the reason, we are here to help. Each year, over 700,000 pounds of food are provided to more than 18,000 people.
