ORGANIZATION: RSVP of Warren County (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program)

Help one child at a time become a successful adult. The East Ridge Homework Club needs caring adults to listen to and help students 1st through 12th grade with their school work. Tutors help students develop academic motivation, positive decision making, and social competencies. The Homework Club provides computers with internet access and all materials needed to complete school projects. A quarterly Good Grade Gathering celebrates good report cards with a pizza party, board games, honor roll rewards and field trips.

Description

Make a Difference in Your Community!

The RSVP Volunteer Program provides opportunities for individuals 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving at schools, museums, and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of the volunteer with opportunities to help impact the community. The program offers supplemental insurance while volunteering and training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
