The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program is seeking volunteers to work with disadvantaged youth to prepare them for life after high school. This program focuses on ensuring these children and teens have the mindset and tools to excel.

Roles: Participate in one of the following programs.

1.Future Leaders Program- assist staff facilitate workshops focused on emotional empowerment, academic achievement and college/career exploration with students grades 1 st - 6 th. Daily programs consist of Lifeskills workshops, Tutoring, Fieldtrips, and Mentoring.

2. BOSS program- Take part in group discussions, hands-on activities, college tours, and company tours aimed at teenage boys. You can volunteers as a Life Coach, College/Career Coach, Workshop Presenter, or Mentor.

Qualifications: 55 years old or older. Complete orientation and training process.

Timeframe: Every Monday from 3:00-5pm for one year. These kids need consistency.

Location of work: Central office is near the Normal Park neighborhood in Ypsilanti.
