ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross - Wisconsin Region

When help can’t wait during emergencies, people volunteer with the American Red Cross to provide relief and care. Our mission wouldn’t be possible without these community heroes. During our annual Red Cross Month celebration in March, we honor their commitment to supporting people in need.

Disaster Action Team (DAT) volunteers sign up for on-call shifts to help provide 24-hour emergency response to local disasters, ensuring that those affected have access to resources for necessities such as food, shelter, and clothing.

Disaster Action Team Member

Every day The American Red Cross responds to approximately 190 house fires across the country. Because of volunteers like you, we are able to respond to the devastation a house fire can bring within 2 hours of receiving the call that a family is in need.

We are actively recruiting for volunteers who want to be part of our Disaster Action Teams (DAT) in Adams County. DAT members respond to local disasters within 2 hours of notification and directly help people affected by disasters by providing food, shelter, essential reliefs supplies, and hope. Full training provided by The American Red Cross - Wisconsin Region.
