Your skills, talents, and desires determine your volunteer experience: Directly support patients in a non-medical way as a friendly visitor providing companionship, provide a licensed service (such as cosmetology), or indirectly support patients and their families by helping in the office and/or with special projects. Just as our patient services are unique to each patient, the volunteer experience is uniquely suited to each volunteer.
All volunteers receive excellent initial and also ongoing training and support, as well as required TB screening - absolutely free. Additionally, volunteers can earn school community service hours and also professional employment references.
Heartland Hospice is in your community and nationwide, with a Volunteer Program offering multifaceted support to our patients. For more information visit https://www.heartlandhospice.com/volunteers/ and consider the impact volunteering, even just once a week, makes on precious lives - including yours.
