Spend each Wednesday in the office making calls to a list of patients to "tuck them in" for the weekend and pass along any needs to the care team. Your skills, talents, and desires determine your volunteer experience: Directly support patients in a non-medical way as a friendly visitor providing companionship in person and/or remotely, provide a licensed service (such as cosmetology), or indirectly support patients and their families by helping in the office and/or with special projects. Just as our patient services are unique to each patient, the volunteer experience is uniquely suited to each volunteer's availability, desires, and gifts/talents. All volunteers receive excellent initial and also ongoing training and support, as well as required TB screening - absolutely free. Additionally, volunteers can earn school community service hours and also professional employment references.
