Have you met Hugo? He's a dog with a heart of gold - and has sadly been with us for TWO YEARS without a single sleepover, foster, or adoption. Maybe it's because he needs to be the only pet. Or maybe because he's an 8 year old senior with the spirit of a younger dog. This is such a shame - Hugo has a unique look and a great personality. People are missing out!
Hugo is a super silly, friendly and enthusiastic dog. He has a devoted group of volunteer and staff friends, and is often used for our handling training with new volunteers. He knows sit, enjoys training, and can happily self-entertain with toys. He's happy to play fetch with stuffed animals or rope toys and will trade for a second toy or treat.
Hugo should go to a home with no other dogs, with no children/elderly adults who could be easily knocked down, and with a family who is understanding of his quirks. Overall, Hugo is a special dog with a personality that lights up the room!

The center is open daily from noon to 8 p.m. Conveniently located off the 118/405/5 freeways at 15321 Brand Boulevard, Mission Hills, CA 91345.
All dogs are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
