ORGANIZATION: Pima Community College Adult Basic Education for College and Career

Overview: Teach citizenship preparation to adults. Class meets Tuesdays, 5:30-7:00pm

Responsibilities:

  • Teach a 1.5 - 2 hour weekly class during continuous 8 week sessions
  • Prepare and present curriculum and materials to class participants
  • Take attendance weekly

Qualifications:

  • Excellent people and communication skills
  • Willing to work with diverse students of mixed abilities, learner levels, backgrounds and cultures
  • High degree of initiative and creativity
  • Responsible, flexible and adaptable
  • Prior teaching experience highly desired but not required

1 Shift

  • 05:30 PM to 07:00 PM
    Class meets on Tuesday evenings

Pima College Adult Basic Education for College and Career (ABECC) Mission: We meet every adult learner where they are, honor their strengths and support them to their goals.

We offer free, non-credit high school equivalency classes, English language classes, career contextualized instruction, and citizenship preparation classes.

Volunteers are essential to fulfilling our mission and we welcome inquiries from community members who want to help the thousands of adult students we serve each year.
