ORGANIZATION: RSVP (Retired & Senior Volunteer Program) of Washtenaw County

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program is seeking volunteers to help a local non-profit staff their resource advocacy team that helps families and children access information regarding agency services.

Tasks: Work with staff to ensure consumers have accurate information regarding the food pantry, housing, children’s programs, utilities assistance and referrals. Working with consumers to search for local resources and direct them to best meet their needs.

Qualifications: Typing and recording information. Great attention to detail, strong computer skills, problem solving skills and ability to search internet and other resources to find information to assist consumers. Ability to show empathy towards consumers and listen to their needs.

Time: Mondays 9AM-1PM and Thursday/Friday 9AM-4PM. Serve at least one shift per week.

Location of work: Central office is in Ypsilanti near the corner of Huron and Michigan.
