Position Title: Food pickup volunteer
Reports To: Escondido Corps, The Salvation Army
Purpose/Goal of Position: To support the Escondido Corps Community Center in picking up food donations, from various grocery stores around Escondido. This position will also be moving food boxes from the truck to the building and weighing boxes and documenting weight.
Qualifications/Skills/Certifications Needed:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and boundaries as required and appropriate.
- Strong interpersonal skills; Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse staff and guests.
- Excellent driving record.
- Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. numerous times through out shift.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Pickup and deliver food donations to the Corps
Ongoing Position:
Duration: Minimum of 3-6 month commitment
Available Schedules:
Day's: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (only one day per week required, multiple days preferred)Time: 9 am to 12:30 pm
