Give back to your community by leading an art/paint workshop for our residents!

LINC Housing greatly appreciates the support that volunteers provide toward our greater initiative of providing affordable housing communities to low-income families, seniors, and the formerly homeless. We are looking for a volunteer group to lead an art workshop for our residents at our Mosaic Gardens at Willowbrook community in Compton, CA. LINC provides life-enhancing services to our residents and art workshops have proved to be both fun and positive for our residents.

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

  • Lead an art or painting workshop
  • Up to 1-2 hour commitment (Considering Set-up/Clean-up)
  • Flexible Date and Time (LINC will try to accommodate the volunteer availability)
  • 1-3 Volunteers (Individuals, Corporate groups, volunteer group, company/organization group)
  • Provide our seniors with a an art/paint class: LINC is open to suggestions or ideas from volunteers.
  • There is an opportunity to donate toward this volunteer activity. LINC would greatly appreciate any donation toward: Art supplies, paint, or any items needed for the workshop.

How to Enroll:

To qualify as a Youth Education Volunteer, applicants must be at least 16 years of age and submit to a background verification. Getting involved is as easy as taking 4 simple steps:

  1. Visit our website at: http://www.linchousing.org/linccares/vol_form.html and complete the online application.
  2. You will be contacted within days to schedule an orientation appointment.
  3. Attend an orientation where you will meet onsite staff, receive a tour of the facility, and be given an introduction to LINC and the responsibilities of its volunteers.
  4. You will be contacted after orientation for placement in the activity of your choice.
