The Walk to Defeat ALS event is our annual fundraiser and opportunity to celebrate our PALS (people living with ALS). The event is held at Point State Park. ALS is a progressive and fatal disease that affects a person's ability to move leading to total paralysis. Our goal is to discover treatments and a cure for ALS as well as to serve and advocate for people affected by ALS. We are looking for volunteers to make this event a success.
There are three shifts you can sign up for:
Shift 1: 6:00am-8:00am Shift 2: 7:00am-10:30am Shift 3: 9:30am-1:00pm

Description
The ALS Association Western Pennsylvania Chapter supports people living with ALS and their loved ones through services and education in 31 central and western Pennsylvania counties. We leave no stone unturned in search for the cure of this progressive neurodegenerative disease.

- There are three shifts you can sign up for: Shift 1: 6:00am-8:00am Shift 2: 7:00am-10:30am Shift 3: 9:30am-1:00pm
- There are various jobs that can be assigned to our volunteers based on their shift. Please note the event is outdoors. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have physical restrictions or concerns as we are very flexible with our responsibilities
