The mission of the ALS Association is to lead the fight to cure and treat ALS through global, cutting-edge research, and to empower people with Lou Gehrig's disease and their families
to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support.
The ALS Association Western PA-West Virginia Chapter provides the following services: nurse consultations, equipment loans, speech generating device 80/20 programs, speech generating device loan programs, the Norma Simon patient equipment fund, the Stewart Smith respite care program, transportation programs, resource groups,
multidisciplinary clinics, lending library and educational symposia.
