Our much loved volunteer, who fills this position, is out for the next 3 months do to surgery. We are now looking for volunteers to help us while she is gone.
This position is flexible in that:
- You can start as early as 9:00am
- You can be here for 2 or 3 hours
- You can pick your day as long as it is the same day each week. Tues, Wed, or Fri.
This position is the one we count on to keep our kitchen warm and welcoming! Our kitchen is the one place in the House where everyone tends to gather, therefore, it requires a lot of love and care. Everything you need to do in your kitchen needs to be done here too.
You will be cleaning and organizing the kitchen and dining room area. Some of those tasks will be cleaning counters and appliances, loading and emptying dishwashers, wiping down tables. You will also be in charge of making fresh coffee, organizing and tidying the kitchen and pantry and refilling supplies as needed.
We need volunteers who enjoy cleaning and are responsible, organized, self-motivated and comfortable working alone. However, you will be working along side our families as they go about their day.

We support seriously ill children and their families. At the Seattle Ronald McDonald House, we provide a "home-away-from-home" to help families through a difficult time. We also provide a van service for families staying in Anchorage while their children receive medical care.
Description
Ronald McDonald House Charities, a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) corporation, creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well being of children. Its programs are grassroots-driven to enable the Charity to offer help where children need it most - right in their own communities. RMHC makes an immediate, positive impact on children's lives through its global network of local Chapters in 52 countries and its three core programs: the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. These programs provide a bridge to accessible health care and allow families more time together, which help in the healing process. RMHC and its global network of local Chapters also have awarded more than $460 million in grants and program services to children's programs around the world.
