Halcyon Home is a quickly growing, locally owned Home Health & Hospice company in Austin, Tx.

My name is David Bregger and I am the volunteer coordinator for the Halcyon Home Hospice program. We are a team of volunteers that aim to help out our hospice patients and their families in any way shape or form that we can. Our hospice agency goes out all over Austin to provide hospice care to all types of people, and we need volunteers to make sure that we fulfill all requirements that are mandated by the laws and regulations of Texas. Some of the volunteer activities include patient interaction like companionship, reading, playing music for, running errands for, and helping out with activities like bingo or playing dominoes. You can also help out in the office running reports, making copies, patient specific binders, answering phones, filing paperwork, etc. There are some basic requirements to being a volunteer, which include an interview, background check, TB test, and online training that must be completed prior to becoming a volunteer.
