ORGANIZATION: Phinney Neighborhood Association

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 2 people are interested

Spring has sprung - and so have the weeds! Help your elder neighbors with their yardwork during the PNA Village Community Gardening Day.

Join us on Saturday, May 14 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. All ages are welcome to join us as we weed, trim, plant and otherwise get gardens and yards in NW Seattle ready for the growing season. Volunteers will be assigned to teams of 5 people, and each team will work at 2 homes in NW Seattle with a lead volunteer (we'll meet at the Greenwood Senior Center for orientation & assignment). Best of all, you'll be done in time to head home for lunch!

This is a great opportunity to meet your neighbors, hang out with your friends and family, and participate in the PNA Village’s mission to build community around our elders. No gardening experience is necessary, though we encourage you to bring gardening gloves and small tools, if you have them.

Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination, including booster, is required. Negative PCR test within 72 hours will also be accepted. Reserve your volunteer spot now! Email, no later than May 4, to sign up.
