Are you passionate about mental health and helping people in crisis? NAMI San Fernando Valley/Santa Clarita Valley is looking for an energetic and compassionate volunteer to fill the role of Friends in the Lobby Program Manager. Friends in the Lobby works in partnership with hospitals and urgent care facilities to make families aware of NAMI and how we can help them or their loved one affected by a mental health crisis.

The Friends in the Lobby Program Manager will:

  • Schedule and track Friends in the Lobby volunteers
  • Help branch into new locations in the San Fernando/Santa Clarita Valleys
  • Set up tables in facilities and provide visitors with brochures, flyers, and information about NAMI's program and services

*This position is great for students who need to earn volunteer, practicum, or community service hours! If you are a CSUN student needing hours, please indicate this when you contact us.

ABOUT US: The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is the nation's largest volunteer-led grassroots organization helping individuals affected by mental illness. At NAMI San Fernando Valley/Santa Clarita Valley, we are proud to offer free support groups, educational programs, and outreach presentations to individuals and families affected by mental illness. We tirelessly fight the stigmatization of mental illness through our advocacy and outreach efforts to spread awareness in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valley communities.
