Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
NAMI SFV aims to build a close-knit community to support, advocate for, and educate anyone affected by mental illness.
How can we help you?
At NAMI, we are dedicated volunteers giving hope to people living with mental illness and their families. For many of us, "finding NAMI" was the end of a nightmare and the beginning of hope. We can share our experiences, understanding and compassion with you. We can tell you what worked for us and what did not. We can be your guide to treatment, and education resources.
How can you help us?
We are starting a new course in our 25 year history in San Fernando Valley. We need dedicated reliable volunteers to help us spread the message of hope and reach even more families that need us. Be a virtual or office volunteer.
Important: NAMIWalks, held each October, raises the nation's consciousness of mental illness. We seek to teach the community about the signs of mental illness, and treatments for various forms of mental illness. We are knowledgeable about the different types of medications and how to support those with mental illness and their family members. We do get better. We do live quality lives. Come hear our stories and see hope live.
Join us on the journey...WALK with us!
Virtual walkers are also welcome!
