Elara Caring Hospice is looking for a volunteer that is willing to provide companionship / respite care to a patient living in their private home in Defiance, OH. What is respite care? Respite care visits consist of sitting with a patient so their caregiver is able to run errands or simply have a break from 24-hour care giving. Respite care is important because it helps prevent caregiver burnout and ensures the patient's safety. These visits typically last 1-2 hours.
If you think this is something you are interested in doing, simply apply to this ad or send our Volunteer Coordinator a direct message at firstname.lastname@example.org.
