Grants Manager

Arizona Sustainability Alliance (AZSA) Mission
To create and support cutting-edge, project-based sustainability solutions in Arizona

Role Purpose
To create a robust grants portfolio to directly support the funding of the Arizona Sustainability Alliance.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with the Development Director and Executive Director
• Research and identify grants for specific projects throughout the organization
• Develop and manage a grants calendar to ensure grants are being prepared well in advance of their deadlines and submitted on time
• Manage tracking of grants (applied, submitted, received)
• Train and manage team of grant writers
• Write grants as time permits

Ideal Skill Set

• Excellent research skills
• Project management and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to collaborate efficiently with all AZSA programs
• Possess good knowledge of planning and strategizing financial and budgeting issues
• Ability to work within a team and provide support to the junior staff
• Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines
• Experience with basic financial management skills including developing and monitoring budgets and financial reporting

Time Commitment: Approximately 5-10 hours per week

All AZSA positions are remote, with periodic fieldwork and other necessary in-person activities specific to the position.
