We have been providing end of life care in San Mateo County for 40+ years. Four years ago we began our Community Education program, and use an evaluation form at each event. We have had an amazing data entry person design and implement a spreadsheet, that we are currently using. successfully. Sadly for us, this volunteer has to move to LA, so we are looking for someone to replace her.
This opportunity involves collecting the evaluations, scanning them, and entering the data. The current would like to work with whoever is stepping into this position.
You must be comfortable, familiar with and LOVE Excel spreadsheets, detail oriented work, precision in entry and appreciating education is also something that would be useful. We are using this data to apply for grant funding, and to promote our efforts with other similar organizations.
We also have other tasks needed, but currently this is the most important part of Nancy's work that we need to continue.
Other possible tasks are detail oriented calendar entry of our events into 2 different calendars, that do not communicate with each other (trust me I have tried), this is heaviest in December/January, and again in mid summer, but not nearly as involved.
Please call is this looks lie a good fit, and if Monday afternoons can work, even better, but not limited to Mondays.

It’s about life! Mission Hospice & Home Care helps patients live life to the fullest, offering medical, spiritual, emotional, and practical support to patients and familes throughout the end-of-life process.
We are San Mateo County's first hospice program, founded by volunteers in 1979. Since then, our staff and volunteers have cared for more than 10,000 patients and families throughout the San Mateo County area.
We are known for our personal, individualized palliative care - whether in patients’ homes, assisted living, board and care, or skilled nursing facilities. We see every day that our compassionate care gives patients and their loved ones the opportunity to cherish their time together.
This work would not be possible without volunteers, who are the heart and soul of our care. Our direct care volunteers offer important emotional and social support to our patients and their families, providing companionship, logistical assistance, and more. Our indirect care volunteers offer their time and talents in the office, assisting with mailings, special events and administrative tasks. The Mission Hospice Auxiliary is dedicated to raising funds and promoting awareness of the services provided by Mission Hospice & Home Care.
