ORGANIZATION: Special Events Management

Art enthusiasts are guaranteed to find plenty of inspiration when the early summer showcase that is the Wells Street Art Festival. Held on the eponymous strip of Wells Street between North Avenue and Division in Chicago’s historic Old Town neighborhood, it’s a treasure trove of creativity and much more.

I have an opportunity for volunteers to work Saturday & Sunday June 10th & 11th, 2023 at the WellsStreetartFair. Manning the Gates on Division from 9:30 a.m.- 9:30 p.m. The shifts I have are 10 a.m.-2 p.m., 2 p.m.-6 p.m., and 5:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
We need 50 volunteers per day to be divide into the 3 shifts.
Fest proceeds will again benefit the programs and services of the Old Town Merchants & Residents Association.

Description

Founded in 1988 and celebrating its 35th year in 2023, Chicago Special Events Management (SEM) has grown to become the largest producer of events in the Midwest. These range in size from fundraising runs & walks that draw 500-10,000 participants, to weekend-long art and street festivals that attract between 15,000-150,000 attendees. SEM has a full-time staff of 32 employees and produces 100-plus events of every shape and size each year. All of the events produced by SEM support a non-for-profit beneficiary in the community.
