Enjoy a fulfilling volunteer experience by providing companionship and socialization for patients or short-term respite for caregivers. Reminiscing, watching TV, playing music or just being present with a patient provides meaningful experiences for both the volunteer and patient. Caregivers need breaks for appointments, running errands or just to have lunch with a friend. Veteran to veteran and other specialty volunteers welcome - music or art therapy, crafts, life review recording, pet therapy, spiritual support, beautician and barber services. Days and times are flexible and comprehensive training is provided.
Volunteers needed in Coweta, Fayette, Troup and surrounding counties.

Description
To become a volunteer, all you need is a compassionate heart. Our volunteer training will teach you everything you need to know to be a companion for someone during their end-of-life journey. You’ll learn valuable skills in grief counseling, spiritual and emotional support, and end-of-life care.
