Homeland Hospice
Serving south central Pennsylvania - seeking to welcome you to our team!

Help Homeland Hospice provide an unique and extra level of support to patients and their families!

Several churches, mostly in the Dauphin and Cumberland County area, partner with Homeland Hospice by preparing homemade soups and casseroles which are then given to families who are overwhelmed by the demanding caregiving commitment. Homeland Hospice is seeking a person who would be willing to drop off supplies - casserole pans, soup containers - at the churches, pick up the frozen soup and casseroles from the churches, and deliver them to Homeland Hospice office freezer. Nurses and Social Workers then take the food items to the patient/family as needed. In 2018, meals were provided to close to 375 families.

Time Commitment: Will vary, but approximately 3-4 hours per month. Volunteer can set own daytime/weekday hours that correspond with church office hours (typically 8:00 AM-Noon or 8:00 AM-3:00/4:00 PM) and Homeland Hospice office hours (8:00 AM-5:00 PM).
