Pacific Symphony is the premier symphonic orchestra in Orange County, CA. Through exceptional musical performances, educational opportunities and community programming, Pacific Symphony inspires, engages and serves the Orange County community and Southern California region.
The Symphony Shop is a wonderful way to become involved with the Symphony! The Symphony Shop is operated completely by volunteers, many of whom are League members. These volunteers ensure that the Shop is open whenever and wherever the Symphony is playing; whether at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall or as a mobile gift Shop at one of many performance venues throughout Orange County.
The two major goals of the Shop are to raise money for Symphony programs and events and to be the face of the Symphony, warmly welcoming concert-goers.
Symphony Shop volunteers are provided a concert seat for the performance at which they volunteer. Family Concert volunteers receive a voucher for an upcoming Summer Concert for each morning they volunteer in the Shop.
The time commitment is about 5 hours the evening of the concert. Each shift includes set-up of displays, selling before, during and after the concert and packing up the displays when the concert concludes. The time commitment is less for our Saturday Morning Family Concerts. We usually have three to four volunteers per evening concert, and six for a morning concert. We pull from a pool of on-call volunteers to help out in case some are unavailable for a particular date.
