Join the Northwest Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association for the first ever APDA Research Symposium! This one-day conference will bring together local Parkinson's researchers and those impacted by Parkinson disease. Attendees will learn about the latest in Parkinson's research, local projects and trials, and what it's like to be a research participant.
This event gives people impacted by Parkinson's an opportunity to meet the local scientists, researchers and clinicians who are working towards a better understanding of the causes of Parkinson's in their quest to find a cure.
Volunteers are needed to help set up/clean up, check attendees in, run microphones for Q&A time, and direct attendees to seating and lunch.
Shifts are available from 8:00am-11:30am, 11:15am-3:00pm, or join us all day and we will provide you a lunch.
Thank you for volunteering and helping to make a difference in the lives of those impacted by Parkinson's disease.

Description
The American Parkinson Disease Association is the country's largest grass roots organization serving the Parkinson's community.
Our core programs serve the Parkinson's community through education, support, and research. We provide education for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers, as well as access to information and resources. We support our community through assistance programs like APDA Ride Ride Repay and the Caregiver's Day Off program. We strengthen the support group network and fund local activity classes. Lastly, we fund local research into the cause and cure for Parkinson's.
