Job Description: The Chief Operating Officer is the key management leader of HSFA. The COO is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs and to further develop the organization. Other key duties include fundraising, marketing, and community outreach. The position reports directly to the President and CEO. You’ll have to maintain control of diverse business operations and be an experienced and efficient leader. Excellent people skills, business acumen, and exemplary work ethics. The position accomplishes this through a respectful, constructive and energetic style, guided by the objectives of the organization.

  1. The goal of the COO position is to secure the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth. Provide day-to-day leadership and management to a service organization that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of the company. Bottom line: Help build and grow an amazing organization.
  2. Responsible for driving the company to achieve profitability, cash flow, and business goals and objectives.
  3. Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external. Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the company.
  4. Spearhead the development, communication, and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
  5. Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organization.
  6. Motivate and lead a high-performance management team; mentoring as a cornerstone to the management career development team in place.
  7. Assist, as required, in raising additional fundraising at appropriate valuations to enable the organization to meet sales, growth, and market share objectives.
  8. Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the organization.
  9. Represent the firm with clients, investors, and business partners.

Lead and manage the organization with the following responsibilities:

  • Development
    • Help lead the organization in fundraising and networking with the community.
    • Build local and national fundraising and business infrastructures within other organizations
    • Generate sufficient revenue to cover costs
    • Identify geographic growth opportunities and priorities
    • Communicate the branded message internally and externally

Organization Mission and Strategy: Works with board and staff to ensure that the mission is fulfilled through programs, strategic planning, and community outreach.

  • Responsible for implementation of HSFA’s programs that carry out the organization’s mission.
  • Responsible for strategic planning to ensure that HSFA can successfully fulfill its Mission into the future.
  • Responsible for the enhancement of HSFA’s image by being active and visible in the community and by working closely with other professionals, civic and private and public organizations.
