ORGANIZATION: Volunteer Polk

  • Polk RAD (Recovery After Disaster) is a coalition of nonprofits, faith-based and government organizations who are currently (2019) assisting Hurricane Irma survivors in Polk who are still in need of assistance.
  • Polk RAD is seeking a community leader( retirees welcome) to lead their Construction Resource group.
  • The role of this group, is to bring together community members who have knowledge and experience in such fields as: Real Estate, Affordable Housing, Building, Permitting, Insurance Industry, Building Supply Representative, Roofer, Electrician, Plumber, manufactured homes/mobile home repairs, or an arborist to contribute diverse perspectives and resources for guiding Polk RAD in assisting survivors with getting their homes restored.
  • The group can decide if they would like to meet monthly or bi-monthly.
  • The group generates plans for funding Polk RAD and its outreach of supplies and services to assist case managers in helping serve Hurricane Irma Survivors.
