- Polk RAD (Recovery After Disaster) is a coalition of nonprofits, faith-based and government organizations who are currently (2019) assisting Hurricane Irma survivors in Polk who are still in need of assistance.
- Polk RAD is seeking community leaders ( retirees welcome) to serve on their Finance Resource group.
- The role of this group, is to bring together community members who have knowledge and experience in such fields as: banking, accounting, Grant writing, grant management,fund raising, or company representatives whose employer provides disaster recovery donations or funds.
- The group can decide if they would like to meet monthly or bi-monthly.
- The group generates plans for funding Polk RAD and its outreach of supplies and services to assist case managers in helping serve Hurricane Irma Survivors.
